100 years old

I took this photograph in July 2006 for our village calendar. The lady standing outside her lovely house, which was originally a hunting lodge, celebrated her 100th birthday in the September of that year.
I think that she was pleased to be a ‘Calendar Girl’ – not a common occurrence at her age!
She threw her walking stick violently into the air, because she didn’t want it in the picture and it nearly hit me!
